"First Flight" at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport
\

On November 3, a Cessna 560 calibration aircraft landed on the west  runway 1 of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport.
The operational calibration is a prerequisite for the scheduled sailing of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. The flight calibration will mainly be carried out on the airport's air traffic control equipment and navigation aids, which is expected to last about 30 days.
After the calibration aircraft landed for the first time, the flight calibration ceremony of "The First Carrying Dreams of Tianfu " was held on the West Runway 1.
This flight calibration marks a crucial step for Chengdu Tianfu International Airport from "building up" to "flying up". According to the plan, if the flight calibration goes smoothly, a flight trail will be carried out in December.
Earlier on September 23, the west runway 1 of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport was fully completed and 6,335 sets of navigation aid lights were lit up, marking that the highest category runway of Tianfu airport has passed the pre-acceptance, and the flight zone has entered the stage of final acceptance, laying a solid foundation for the flight calibration and flight trail at end of this year.

We have supplied a full set of LED approach, runway and taxiway lighting fixtures including PAPI, Sequenced Flashing Lighting System and other AGLs for Tianfu Airport, and meanwhile Airsafe also provided customized special deep bases for the inset lighting fixtures.
Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is the largest civil transportation hub airport planned and constructed during China's "13th Five-Year Plan" period, which is a great significance to promote the construction of the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing region. The airport plans to build 6 runways and 4 terminal buildings. The first phase of operation will have 3 runways and 2 terminal buildings. Among them, the west runway 1 is a 4F runway with the highest category, which can be used for the largest civil aircraft A380 to take off and land.
